You will join our Sales department in Germany in the remote position of: 

Account Manager - Specialized Markets

About the Role:

This position is within HARMAN’s Consumer Lifestyle Division in Germany with the office in Garching, near Munich. As part of the DACH Sales Team in a rapidly growing company, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing and optimizing the performance of our sales accounts in the German region.

What You Will Do:

  • Sales & Channel Management “JBL & Harman Kardon” for the channels:  Tele-Communications, B2B, Retail Travel in Germany.
    • Setting and execution of the sales strategy for designated sales channels / customers as an integrated part of the DACH commercial strategy and within guidelines of our selective distribution model.
    • Focus on driving incremental sales.
    • Drive Sell Out - Stay within cost and investment budgets.
    • Constant inventory management (Sell In vs. Sell Out).
    • Responsible for the implementation/execution of:
      • New product listings.
      • Product launches.
      • Demand Planning.
      • Delivery dates.
      • Support during trade fairs.
      • Monitor channel and competitors, incl. White Space opportunities.
      • Budget planning and administration.
      • Safeguarding of margin.
  • Sales & Commercial Management of Harman Kardon brand DACH.
    • Develop & Update of regional Harman Kardon GTM strategy in close alignment with regional Sales Director & Marketing Manager.
    • Follow up on execution of Harman Kardon plans on account level in close collaboration with trade marketing and respective KAM.
    • Orchestration of needs to grow Harman Kardon in DACH region to respective Product Managers in Harman HQ.
    • Accountability on revenue, profitability and market share targets for Harman Kardon.
    • Link with other regions to adopt best-in-class practices.
    • Close communication with Harman´s field sales team to ensure flawless execution of plan.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales / Marketing.

  • At least 2+ years of work experience in Account Management within the online retail landscape.
  • Prior experience in building effective sales strategies.
  • Result-oriented and excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Team player, open minded, curious with a can-do mentality.

  • Preferably experience in working within a global organization with a diverse, multi-cultural team.
