Position: Data Centre Engineer

Job Description:

We are hiring Data Center Engineers to manage cloud-based infrastructure operations, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, network systems, and cabling. This role also encompasses inventory management, logistics coordination, and ensuring compliance with security and operational standards, while driving automation and efficiency improvements

This position is part of Network operation team and directly reporting to Infra lead

What You Will Do:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support cloud-based data center operations

• Hands-on experience in installing compute racks, network equipment, and cabling

• Maintain and troubleshoot various hardware and physical network components

• Perform installation of data center infrastructure, including racks, power, servers, network equipment, cabling, and cross-connects, or manage third-party vendors for installation

• Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers and logistics companies for domestic and international shipments

• Document, improve, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Participate in the Change Management process

• Initiate and manage the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process with equipment vendors

• Provide after-hours on-call support for emergencies and outages (Seoul metropolitan area coverage)

• Ensure compliance with data center security and safety regulations

• Optimize operations through effective communication with customers and internal teams

• Contribute to the adoption and improvement of automation solutions for data center operations

What You Need:

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with Data Center and ISP vendors, coordinating resource provisioning and device installations.

• Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers and network equipment.

• Experience managing Data Center projects, ensuring smooth operations and timely execution.

• Knowledge of asset management and inventory control to efficiently track and maintain resources.

• Familiarity with Data Center remote hands services, including ticketing system usage.

• Experience in customer support and SLA management, ensuring service expectations are met.

• Self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in enterprise IT environments.

• General understanding of hardware, networking, and cloud infrastructure.

What is Nice to Have

• Relevant IT certifications or equivalent industry experience.

• Preferred candidates: At least two years of experience in overseas data center operations.

• Basic proficiency in Google Docs and spreadsheets, with the ability to handle complex data when needed.

What Makes You Eligible

• Proficiency in English and Korean (spoken and written).

• Willing to travel internationally (up to 10%)

• Be willing to work from harman office and Data Center location as per project requirement
