About the Role


The role will be responsible for leading a local Engineering Team delivering Security, Positioning and Stability for all customer projects within Connectivity SBU. The Team Leader will be responsible for core software assets, system architecture & quality of software deliverables of the team. The local leader will also manage the technical competency of his team and ensure that they are regularly upskilled.


What You Will Do

  • Lead a local team of Software Domain engineers in India, Romania or Poland and take bottom-line responsibility of the SW Domain deliverables.
  • Drive current best practices in Connectivity Software development to deliver committed programs with partners and customers on both Android Automotive and Linux-based solutions per committed schedule with a quality-first mindset
  • Play the role of technology evangelist by strategically defining the technology competency roadmap, acquiring talent, continuously upskilling, driving community activities and defining the culture where teams team pride in the products & code they deliver to the customers.
  • Develop and deploy appropriate development methodologies for future generations of projects and products, including but not limited to Agile Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, considering the unique needs of the evolving automotive industry.
  • Be an integral part of the Connectivity leadership team to execute the direction of a quickly growing and evolving in-cabin experience strategy.
  • Work with Connectivity and Divisional Product Management to invent, incubate, and design new technologies for future customer projects.
  • Grow and groom the capabilities of all levels of the organization.
  • Drive leadership across the full spectrum of partners and customers
  • Self-driven, autonomous, and systematic way of working and able to help others achieve this.
  • Focus on core assets and project execution.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or comparable experience
  • 6+ years of overall all professional experience in large-scale software development in a global setting.
  • A relentless focus on doing the basics brilliantly. Drive consistency and ownership through the organization with clear accountability
  • The desire to change the status quo on development methodologies.
  • Understanding of complex ecosystems for Android and Linux-based products
  • Experience building and leading diverse teams, incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies into the DNA of teams.
  • Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely at all levels.
  • Ability to distinguish between custom functionality and common functionality.
  • Experience in understanding and reviewing architecture diagrams.
  • Analytical skills and good system understanding in the embedded SW area.

  • Good knowledge about cryptographic algorithms and memory-protection techniques.

  • Experience with GNSS environment

  • Good understanding of constellations
  • High precise positioning knowledge
  • Knowledge in inter-process communication, threading, socket communication(low latency protocols)

What is Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in computer science or Computer Engineering
  • Relevant experience in AI/ML technologies
  • Strong experience in Automotive Software Development, as well as Consumer areas
  • An affinity for business and the ability to run the organization to optimize for agreed-upon financial metrics.
  • Knowledge of agile software development methods (e.g. V-Model, ASPICE, etc.).

  • Be willing to work in an office, with hybrid model of remote and onsite office in one of our major software development sites
