Director - Sales
Roles & Responsibilities
We are currently looking for a Director - Sales for our Korea location and Samsung business to strengthen the team. We are seeking a senior professional who will play a crucial role in the business development process, and business proposal creation including lead qualification, elaboration of HARMAN’s offerings, value proposition, and final deal closure.
The role entails working with HARMAN’s Sales and Delivery Teams, Geographical Business Units and SME’s to develop and present business solutions, align business needs, and position HARMAN’s experience and services as a key differentiator and competitive advantage.
This person must be comfortable mapping business requirements into HARMAN capabilities and services, suggesting delivery methodologies, defining financial models, prerequisites, and dependencies of a successful engagement, and coordinating, and integrating business development activities across multiple organizational units and divisions at HARMAN.
The role will report to Korea Lead at HARMAN Tech Services(HTS) Korea and will be positioned in Seoul-Gyeonggi Area/Korea.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent (Master’s degree is a plus)
- 15+ years of overall IT experience and/or other technical, mathematical background
- Having at least 15 years experience in Pre-sales/bid/Sales manager related responsibilities.
- Experience in project management and strategic consulting. Cloud Business is plus
- The candidate has to have rich experience of the Samsung business either ex-Samsung or a partner with specific achievements at Samsung.
- Excellent written and spoken skills in English/Korean
- High technical acumen and business values
- Understanding the needs of the client from a software development perspective is important and then using the managerial skills of high communication, proactive innovation and customer delight focus to achieve the goal and bringing in the business should be a key aim of presales consultant.
- Candidate should not be constrained to new learning curves tech or business wise.
- Understanding the relationship between upcoming technology trends and the business values for clients.
- Practical knowledge of and experience working with clients (ideally Onsite)
- Experience of large-scale IT Application System and Infrastructure
- Expertise in Cloud environment/architecture/applications/technologies is a plus.
- Open for International travel as required.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of Korea’s sales/presales team with HARMAN senior management, account managers, heads of business units, and SME’s and architect solutions from a business perspective.
- Drive preparation and participate in RFP sessions.
- Act as a single point of contact collaborating with HARMAN’s Global Finance and Legal Divisions and providing a comprehensive targeted response.
- Integrate technical solution implementation approach into business proposals, build pricing models based on technical estimates, timelines, and cost analyses.
- Create offline and online presentations featuring HARMAN values, experience, and services.
- Continually collect and structure HARMAN’s technological and business experience for further reuse by sales and presales teams.
- Promote collaborations with Korea/Global Team and educate the best practices in Korea to global teams.
