About the Role
We are currently seeking a Data Scientist focused on Machine Learning ML, with working experience and knowledge in data-based ML, to support our AI Lab teams for Harman products. This position requires professional knowledge and/or experience in the machine learning life cycle (from data/feature engineering to deployment to improvement), to support development and improvement of Harman products. This role is responsible for developing MLOps, and ML pipelines for ML models, with (1) competency to develop and solve ML use cases efficiently with reasonable SW engineering quality; (2) strong problem solving, ML and coding skills. Specific ML models are developed or optimized by using big and various datasets from Harman databases and data lakes (Azure, DataBricks, etc.), and by using all available tools and software. The ML models are deployed and maintained in vehicles and the cloud for Harman OEMs and vehicles.
What You Will Do
- Build and use data analytics, and ML / AI models or algorithms based on various data sources (databases, data streams, etc.) to contribute to our AI/ML products and services by problem solving.
- Deploy and optimize ML models to enhance Harman products (TCU / Connectivity, IVIs, OTA, etc.), and develop problem-solving solutions.
- Provide ML and data analytics insights, model recommendations, and decision-making actions to senior management and data science and engineering teams.
- Work with data scientists, software engineers, to implement and improve ML models, involved in implementing and designing feedback for ML development life cycle.
- Collaborate with various Harman teams to create software, ML / data analytics solutions and reports.
- Build ML models or algorithms (scripts, binary files) from firmware / software of TCUs and IVIs, to LLMs, Gen AI to improve Harman businesses (e.g., marketing, sales, etc.), based on real datasets (+ some synthetic data).
- Conduct R&D and POCs for embedded deep learning, transfer learning, Gen AI models, or algorithms running on Linux without GPUs or Android with limited computing capabilities.
- Develop applicable unsupervised, semi-supervised ML models and improve these models, by collecting feedback (from OTA FAEs, etc.), and retraining the models, based on the model performance and the updated data.
What You Need
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, CE, EE, or any equivalent degree, 5+ years of experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of overall experience working in data analytics and ML, supervised / unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, deep learning or LLMs or Gen AI for industrial applications.
