Description & Requirements

Environmental Engineer/GIS Engineer: This position is primarily responsible to provide data management and technical reporting services to Honeywell Global Remediation Services. Should have a strong understanding of ArcGIS and Auto CADD software. Candidate should be proficient with ArcGIS/CADD Spatial Data Management and Microsoft excel, Microsoft access software skills and environmental/geology data understanding is a plus, exhibit independent thinking skills, and can work successfully in a team setting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient Esri ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Server.
  • Data Conversion from AutoCAD to GIS.
  • compile, validate, and migrate geospatial datasets from multiple sources to Enterprise Geodatabase.
  • Maintain and update GIS databases to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and accessibility.
  • Create and publish base maps and layers using ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Understand basic functionalities of online Environmental Data Management databases like EQuIS.
  • Periodic update of Work instructions and SOPs.

Education level and /or relevant Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Geoinformatics or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5+ Years of progressive and hands-on working experience in the expected skilled area.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Have basic knowledge of geology and/or groundwater/chemistry.
  • Proficient in Geodatabases (Personal, File, Enterprise).
  • Understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS)
  • Ability to quickly learn and use basic functionalities of online Environmental Data Management databases like EQuIS.
  • Ability to use filters, pop-ups, and embedded links effectively in the GIS Layers.
  • Knowledge of Portal for ArcGIS for publishing maps and layers.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, vloookup, xlookup, reorganization of data).

  • General familiarity with environmental sampling, groundwater, and thematic maps
  • Basic knowledge of web Technologies – HTML, JavaScript, Rest API
