About the Role

As a Product Compliance Expert, you are responsible for the Homologation of our Automotive products. Your responsibilities include worldwide regulatory type approvals and certification of licensed technologies. You will also work with 3rd party laboratories to maintain appropriate compliance for Harman products. This includes e.g. EMC, CE, RED, FCC, eMark, Bluetooth, etc.

What You Will Do

  • Plan, control, support, and monitor all type approval test and certifications.

  • Analyze product/feature description and detailed country list to specify regulatory requirements.

  • Develop compliance test plans for electronic components.

  • Create project plan (time and material, variants of product, coordination with internal and external support).

  • Control sample preparation, including HW, conducted modification, SW, control components, shipment and communication for in-country testing.

  • Prepare legal documents (declarations, technical descriptions, PoA, etc.).

  • Manage local regular stakeholder communication and process support.

  • Complete and renew certificates in target market and prepare respective technical documentation.

  • Evaluate new regulations, norms and standards and check their validity as well as maintain records of all compliance testing.

What You Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent suitable education.

  • At least 5+ years of related experience with electrical/wireless products regulatory compliance.

  • Very good knowledge in Electrical Design.

  • Skilled in MS Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio).

  • Excellent English communication skills, oral and written.

  • Ability to work in a team and taking on responsibility.

  • Confident appearance in communication with authorities, private institutions, customers, departments and suppliers.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience in wireless engineering or telecommunications, like GNSS, E-Call, 4G/5G, Wifi, BT, NFC and dealing in regulatory processes.

  • Well-trained in problem solving methodology and experience of key issue problem solving.
