Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Alteryx Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hands-on experience in building complex Alteryx workflows, macros, and analytical applications, as well as deep knowledge in SQL and Oracle databases. A solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts, along with scripting experience in Python and VB, is essential. The candidate should also be capable of working independently, interfacing directly with clients, and contributing to Alteryx administration and platform optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Alteryx workflows, including batch macros and iterative macros.
  • Build and deploy Alteryx analytical apps to support dynamic and user-interactive solutions.
  • Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading, primarily using Oracle and other RDBMS platforms.
  • Integrate Python and VB scripts into workflows to extend functionality where necessary.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and analytics requirements and translate them into scalable Alteryx solutions.
  • Provide Alteryx platform support and basic administration, including scheduling, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Apply strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts to design efficient data pipelines.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders directly, presenting findings, gathering requirements, and managing expectations effectively.
  • Ensure best practices in data governance, documentation, version control, and workflow optimization.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as an Alteryx Developer with a proven track record of handling complex workflows and macros.
  • Strong experience in developing Alteryx Apps and using Alteryx Gallery/Server.
  • Advanced SQL and Oracle database expertise.
  • Proficiency in Python and VB scripting as used within Alteryx or adjacent ETL processes.
  • Basic understanding of Alteryx Administration, including user management, workflow scheduling, and server maintenance.
  • Solid grasp of data warehousing principles, ETL architecture, and data modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, including direct client communication and requirement gathering.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum or similar project environments is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Alteryx Designer and/or Alteryx Server certification.
  • Experience with any data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with any cloud platforms is a plus.
