Supply Planning Analyst

About the Role:

The Supply Planning Analyst (Planner) is the central point of contact between the EMEA Supply Chain team and the Centralized Global Supply Chain team in Shenzhen (China). He/she will focus on ensuring the timely and optimal availability of our EMEA lifestyle consumer products in EMEA central warehouse.

This role includes monitoring demand in IBP, pre-shipping management, sets priorities, setting up safety stock, and preparing for peak season. Besides daily operational and reporting, there are also opportunities doing fantastic cross functional projects around process improvement, efficiency gains, cost cutting, NPI, products phase out and system improvements.

The Supply Planning Analyst reports to the EMEA Supply Planning Manager.

What You Will Do:

Operational: 60%

  • Daily operational contact with GSCM team in Shenzhen (China) and peers in other regions.
  • Secure we have the right products available in the right quantities at the right time.
  • Act on closing upcoming supply gaps.
  • Monitoring vendor liabilities and come up with proposals on how to mitigate these.
  • Daily operational contact with internal stakeholders in (Product) Marketing, Logistics and Sales.
  • Follow product lifecycle for NPI and phase out.
  • Scheduling of VAS / rework activities at 3PL.

Reporting: 20%

  • Inventory control + highlight and report exceptions.
  • Provide Finance department with supply projections per month.
  • Safety stock calculations / maintenance.
  • Buffer stock calculations / maintenance.
  • Backorder reporting / tracking and initiate recovery plans.

Project: 20%

  • Execute assigned projects.
  • Initiates and implements improvement supply chain projects.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Fluent speaking and writing in English. Mandarin language as an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP ECC. Experience with SAP IBP is a plus.
  • Experience with MS office suite. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI or Qlik Sense is a plus.
  • Experience in project management/process improvement is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have cultural awareness.
  • Positive, energetic, can-do attitude, detail oriented and accountable.
