Trade Marketing Lead – Benelux

About the Role:

Harman is looking for a Trade Marketing Lead Benelux to drive brand visibility, retail execution, and consumer engagement across the markets. In this role, you will develop and implement high-impact trade marketing strategies, ensuring JBL and Harman Kardon products stand out both in-store and online. You’ll lead promotions, activations, and retail collaborations, working closely with sales and digital teams to create seamless, results-driven campaigns.

What You Will Do:
1. Trade marketing planning
- Develop and execute the annual trade marketing plan aligned with sales and marketing objectives.
- Plan and implement go-to-market (GTM) strategies for product launches.
- Create and manage trade marketing calendars in collaboration with sales and brand teams.
- Define and execute customer-specific trade marketing plans based on market trends and retailer needs.
2. Retail channel & POS execution
- Oversee point-of-sale (POS) execution ensuring brand consistency across retail partners.
- Manage retail display installations and updates in collaboration with merchandising agencies.
- Work with retailers to ensure premium brand presence and optimize product visibility.
- Conduct regular store audits to assess execution and compliance.
3. Promotions & Retail Activations
- Develop and execute trade promotions to drive sell-out
- Plan and manage experiential marketing activations (e.g., live demos, roadshows, retail events).
- Measure the ROI of promotions and activations, optimizing future campaigns based on performance.
- Work with key retail partners to develop and implement loyalty programs or incentive campaigns for store staff.
4. Budget Management
- Manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation across different retail programs.
- Track marketing spend vs. sales uplift, optimizing investment based on performance.
- Forecast and allocate budgets for in-store visibility, branding, and sales incentives.
5. Retailer collaboration
- Act as the main point of contact between the brand and key retail partners for trade marketing topics.
- Develop joint marketing plans with key retailers to align on marketing goals.
- Ensure smooth collaboration with sales teams, category managers, and digital marketing teams to create an integrated retail experience.
6. Digital Trade Marketing & Omnichannel Strategy
- Develop and execute retail media plans, working closely with e-commerce and retail digital teams.
- Ensure digital shelf optimization by providing best-in-class product content, images, and descriptions.
- Track and analyze sell-through data from online and offline partners to drive insights.
- Leverage retailers’ platforms, and digital ads for co-branded marketing initiatives.
7. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor and report on trade marketing campaign effectiveness
- Work with data analytics teams to extract insights and optimize future campaigns.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly business reviews for leadership
8. Trade Events & Retailer Activations
- Plan, coordinate, and execute trade events, retailer activations, and showcases.
- Develop event concepts that align with brand strategy and drive consumer engagement.
- Evaluate event success through performance metrics to optimize future activations.
9. Field team & sales support
- Support the field sales team with marketing materials and retail training.
- Develop sales enablement tools, such as presentations, POS materials, and training modules.
- Conduct regular retail visits together with sales counterpart to assess execution and gather insights from store-level teams.
What You Need:
- At least 5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Retail Marketing, or Channel Marketing in a Consumer Electronics or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of retail activations, point-of-sale marketing, and in-store execution.
- A passion for translating the brand into engaging content and immersive retail experiences.
- Experience in budget management, campaign performance tracking, and sales data analysis.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to multitask across multiple retail partners.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate with sales, marketing, and trade marketing teams.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred for travel to retail locations and events.
- Native in Dutch, Fluent in English (French is a pre)
