About the Role
The person will be responsible for managing the end-to-end General Trade business within the defined territory. They will also drive the implementation of the overall strategic sales plan, targets, and monitoring tools to track sales achievements.
What You Will Do
Overall responsibility for driving revenue through multiple distribution and retail channels in the assigned states of India.
Identify and build strategic partnerships that support incremental growth with a strong focus on margins.
Build strong relationships with all General Trade Distributors and ensure robust retail presence for all Harman Lifestyle SKUs.
Source SKUs strategically and distribute them across channels to maximize Harman’s revenue, growth, and visibility.
Participate in developing and updating Harman’s product offerings for the respective channels.
Stay updated on the market and competition landscape.
Take complete ownership of service and replacements across channels and collaborate with the support team to minimize issues.
Liaise with the marketing team to ensure all retail channels receive adequate marketing support to drive Harman product sales.
Ensure consistent growth in market penetration and brand visibility across the region; maintain monthly reports of distributor purchases and sales for internal analysis.
Manage a team of RSO/DSO/ISP within the defined territory.
What You Need to Be Successful
10+ years of progressive experience in sales/business development roles across multiple markets.
Extensive sales and distribution experience across multiple markets; experience in electronics manufacturing, consumer electronics, computer hardware, automotive, or other relevant industries preferred.
Strategically and operationally strong, with the ability to synthesize complex information into a simple strategy, then execute and communicate effectively.
Strong consumer product orientation with a keen understanding of consumer wants and needs, applied to creating market-winning retail sales strategies.
Solid planning and organizational skills.
Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, consistently driving new ideas and programs to address sales and market challenges.
Bonus Points if You Have
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
Provide updated market feedback to vertical market and target market specialists.
Strong administrative proficiency and customer liaison skills.
Interface with sales and marketing teams to leverage their knowledge and efforts in maximizing sales launches.
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 70%, including domestic travel.
