About the Role
In this role you will lead a team of approximately 15 engineers focused on the development and integration of embedded software and DSP software for amplifier products.You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, porting, and optimizing DSP software using advanced audio algorithms across multiple amplifier hardware platforms and operating systems. As the technical go-to person for your team, your expertise will be instrumental in guiding development efforts and solving complex challenges. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and application of amplifiers within the car audio ecosystem..
What You Will Do
- You will be part of an Agile-Scrum software development team for Platform-Amplifier DSP and will contribute to sprint backlog development aligned with the amplifier roadmap.
 - Proven experience in the development and integration of embedded software and/or DSP algorithms in automotive or equivalent environments.
 - As a Manager, you should possess comprehensive knowledge of software development principles and practices, with the ability to develop and present technical data, resolve internal and external conflicts, negotiate and address issues, motivate and communicate with employees, conduct performance reviews, and hire top talent.
 - Demonstrated experience in leading software development teams within an ASPICE-compliant process.
 - Skilled in defining and/or enhancing software development toolchains.
 - Self-starter with strong motivation and initiative,High-level leadership capabilities.
 - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with peers, leadership, and customer teams.
 - Deep technical expertise in embedded software and/or DSP software development.
 - Adherence to all organizational processes and policies.
 - Serve as the primary point of contact for technical concerns within the team,Take ownership of tasks and continuously strive to improve development performance.
 - Capable of working independently and collaboratively with global teams with minimal supervision.
 - Responsible for developing and enhancing solutions, including bug fixes.
 - Actively participate in team discussions, contributing to the evaluation of different solutions to problems.
 - Exhibit critical thinking to assess risks and make sound, timely decisions.
 - Take initiative to deliver high-quality results and maximize contributions aligned with the amplifier program roadmap.
 - Collaborate with cross-location software/hardware engineers—primarily across India, Poland, Germany, China, and the US—to ensure effective implementation of amplifier development tasks.
 
What You Need to Be Successful
- Over 10 years of experience in developing embedded software and/or DSP software for automotive applications.
 - 3–5 years of management experience.
 - Solid understanding of embedded RTOS and its core concepts.
 - Good understanding of hardware design and the ability to read schematics.
 - Familiarity with digital communication protocols such as I2C, A2B, SPI, CAN, and UART.
 - Clear and effective in articulating technical knowledge to cross-location teams and stakeholders.
 - Familiarity with Agile-Scrum methodologies and ways of working.
 - Experience with automotive network in CAN is a plus.
 - Experience using oscilloscope and logic analyser for troubleshooting.
 - Experience with Google UT framework
 - Deeper awareness of quality aspects in software development.
 
Bonus Points if You Have
- A relevant degree such as bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or a related field.
 - Preferred to have executive training course, program management course training, financial course training, PMP (Program Manager Professional) certification.
 - Knowhow of development tools such as CCES, Code sonar & DevOps tools for CI/CD
 - Knowledge of DSP controllers of TI (SOC) & ADI
 - Good to have knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Confluence
 - Background of Agile or V-model based project life cycle.
 - Active team player and got to person for team.
 
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 2%, domestic or international.
 - Be willing to work in an office. However, this role is eligible for HARMAN remote-flex mode with occasional trips to Bangalore office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice).
