  • Engineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms that augment the driving experience

  • Combine ingenuity, in-depth research, and a spirit of collaboration with design and engineering excellence

  • Advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment

About the Role

As the Manager - Digital Architecture, you will be instrumental in shaping and leading the architectural vision and strategy for our automotive electronics manufacturing organization. In this role, you will guide and coordinate the work of our architecture team including data and systems architects to ensure that the enterprise architecture aligns with business goals, drives operational efficiency, and fosters innovation.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage the automotive architecture framework, establishing project scopes, priorities, and timelines in alignment with business objectives, technology strategies, budget constraints, and resource availability and capabilities.

  • Lead Harman Automotive’s architecture practice, ensuring current and future resource needs are aligned with strategic goals. Provide both strategic and technical leadership to the architecture team, and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the Digital organization and beyond.

  • Partner with business and IT leadership to identify and prioritize key initiatives that support strategic business goals. Guide these initiatives to ensure consistent, end-to-end visibility into automotive operations and performance.

  • Define the digital architecture sub-functional strategy, including setting standards, principles, and best practices. Oversee the integration of diverse systems and technologies to build a unified, scalable, and secure enterprise ecosystem.

  • Address complex architectural challenges, such as those related to processes, data, and interfaces, that hinder complete operational visibility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams both within and outside the organization to resolve these issues.

  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on architectural strategy, technology trends, and innovative solutions, engaging with internal stakeholders as well as external partners, customers, and vendors.

  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards, including regulatory, security, and internal organizational requirements.

  • Effectively communicate architecture plans and progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Lead a team of 2–4 architects, providing direct management and mentorship to support team development and performance.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change, both within your direct scope of control and across broader organizational boundaries.

  • Over 12+ years of experience in IT architecture, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.

  • Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF or Zachman.

  • Proven track record of building and leading cross-functional teams, as well as managing complex, large-scale technology initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Certified in Enterprise Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF.

  • Project Management certification is highly desirable.

  • Advanced proficiency in cross-cultural communication, leadership, influence, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

  • Familiarity with the automotive and manufacturing sectors is an added advantage.
