About the Role

New opportunity within our large Engineering organization for a Manager System Test as part of a new opening position in Connectivity Test Center. This role will be part of a new team based in Bucharest which will work closely with the wider team. This is a newly formed team. Our goal is to build out our Connectivity Test Coordinating team operating from our strategic site in Bucharest providing experienced and dynamic team members to support multiple roles across our portfolio of global projects. This is an extremely exciting time to get involved, to help develop and shape innovative technology and drive change throughout the organization.

What You Will Do

• Line management responsibility for all assigned Harman test engineers at Harman Bucharest location.
• Functional Management of external system test contractors.
• Responsibility for location Bucharest dependent system test activities/deliveries for all Connectivity Test Center Domains.
• Steering, Planning, balancing resources, equipment, and tooling for the location.
• Performance evaluation, training, and development of the team members.
• Monitoring plans, timelines and milestones related to all Cluster deliverables.
• This includes monitoring individual and team metrics and performance versus targets.
• Identify and implement technical innovations and new strategies related to the System Test Region Europe targets.
• Ensure and strengthen team spirit and motivation.
• Ensuring quality standards (ASPICE, ASIL, ITF16949, …) for all processes at Connectivity Test Center.
• Engaging with other test teams across the global Connectivity Test teams, Business Units and ECE organization.
• Ensuring effective representation of the department’s interest within and outside of the Connectivity Test Center.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Master’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable record of appropriate leadership of development/test teams across different locations for 5+ years.
• Proven Experience in test methodologies, tools, and methods.
• Good knowledge in testing embedded systems.
• Expertise in working with distributed development teams.
• High sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
• Business fluent in English.
• Efficiently meeting deadlines, schedules, and target dates.
• Willingness to travel according to project needs.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Strong Know-How of technical/automotive standards in infotainment or telematics software projects.
• Technical expertise in area of Automotive and Telematic.
• Integrity: keeping promises, following through commitments, demonstrating values expected to others.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills including negotiation and influencing.
• Ability to manage difficult situations.
• Good decision-making skills.
• Excellent task and time management.

• Fluent in commercial and technical English.
