About the Role

Specialist, Supply Chain General (Global Supply Planner) primary role will be turns based inventory management based on statistical analysis and will be responsible for assisting in the day to day activities in inventory planning. This includes data research and information management, report building and analysis in support of inventory decision making.  The successful candidate will possess a passion for innovative analysis, processes that scale, and the wherewithal to develop findings and recommendations that transcend the numbers. Ideally, you have an inventory planning background in consumer electronics or retail.

What You Will Do

  • Balance inventory based on turns targets – embrace build to stock model
  • Maintain target inventory levels through adjustments in purchase orders to factories and suppliers
  • Work w/ Factory Manager & Procurement to get Supply Visibility Globally
  • Ensure inbound supply dates are correct and maintained
  • Backorder report and manage the issues
  • Replenishment Strategy including safety stock adjustments. 
  • Create appropriate turns targets and safety stock levels based on “A”, “B”, “C” status
  • Work with sales and supply chain teams to improve forecast and fulfillment percentages

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, mathematics or a related field.  An MBA is a plus.
  • SAP, IBP Experience
  • 5 years minimum experience using PC based applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
  • 5 years working in a team-based environment
  • 5 years working in a demand planning or supply chain role
  • 2 years experience in Logistics

Bonus Points if You Have

  • An understanding of strategic business objectives and the ability to drive results toward those objectives.
  • Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multicultural business environment.
  • Gather data and be able to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, including business process metrics and measuring link to business KPIs.
  • Ability to translate business goals and metrics into business process outcomes and related business cases for specific projects.
  • Experience in finance, sales, marketing, product management, and R&D functions

What Makes You Eligible

  • Willingness to work in an office in Tijuana, Mexico (hybrid).  
  • Willingness to travel 5-10%, domestic
  • Willingness to work across multiple time zones
