About the Role
The person will be responsible for managing the General Trade business of the defined territory. They will also be responsible for implementing the organization's overall strategic plans, driving business development, achieving sales targets, and increasing distributors' secondary sales by ensuring the utilization of sellout tools.
What You Will Do
Overall responsible for driving revenue through multiple distribution and retail channels in the respective states of India assigned to him/her.
Team management: Area Sales Manager / Sales Lead / RSO / DSO / ISP
Responsible for ensuring a healthy ROI for distributors.
Identifying and building strategic partnerships that support incremental growth with a strong focus on margins.
Building strong relationships with all General Trade distributors and ensuring a strong retail presence for all Harman Lifestyle SKUs.
Implementing tools to improve sellout.
Monitoring ROI of sellout inputs and ageing of RDs.
Channel expansion – new territories and new sales channels.
Staying updated on market trends and the competitive landscape.
Taking complete ownership of service and replacements across channels and working with the support team to minimize the same.
Managing sellout of Platinum and Gold partners.
Ensuring hygiene at Platinum and Gold partner outlets.
Developing and executing monthly and yearly BTL activation plans effectively.
Designing strategic solutions for secondary sales activation programs, in-shop promotions, and activities using innovative approaches.
Ensuring consistent growth in market penetration and brand visibility across the region.
What You Need to Be Successful
12+ years of progressive experience in sales/business development roles across multiple markets.
Strong administrative proficiency and customer liaison skills.
Strategically and operationally strong. Ability to synthesize complex information into a simple strategy, then execute and communicate against it.
Strong consumer product orientation. Keen understanding of consumer wants and needs, which can be applied to creating market-winning retail sales strategies.
Solid planning and organizational skills.
Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
Bonus Points if You Have
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
Extensive sales and distribution experience in multiple market sales required. Preferred industries: electronics manufacturing, consumer electronics, computer hardware, automotive, and other relevant industries.
Provides updated market feedback to the vertical market and target market specialists.
Interfaces with sales and marketing to leverage their knowledge and efforts to maximize sales launches.
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 70%, domestic travel.
