About the Role
As an ASPICE Process Owner for SWE.3 and SWE.4, you will be responsible for defining, tailoring, and ensuring compliance of software development processes related to detailed design, unit construction, and unit verification. You will act as the central point of contact for these process areas, supporting project teams in achieving ASPICE Level 2 or higher maturity, and ensuring alignment with Harman’s Business Management System (BMS), customer requirements, and industry standards.
What You Will Do
Process Definition & Tailoring
- Define project-specific strategies aligned with Harman’s standard ASPICE processes for SWE.3 and SWE.4.
- Tailor activities, work products, tools, roles, and responsibilities to meet project constraints and customer standards.
- Document process infrastructure and human resource needs within the project manual.
Process Implementation & Support
- Guide engineering teams in implementing detailed design and unit verification strategies, including static and dynamic methods.
- Ensure seamless integration of process workflows into PM&T systems and tools.
- Provide training and coaching to project teams on ASPICE compliance and process execution.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct internal audits, spot checks, and mock assessments to evaluate process adherence and work product quality.
- Track and report process KPIs and maturity gate task lists (MGTL) to project management.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Development Quality teams to close gaps and ensure readiness for ASPICE assessments.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvement needs and propose enhancements to the global engineering process group.
- Participate in ASPICE strategy updates and contribute to process harmonization across projects.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a process owner or process expert in automotive software development.
- Certified ASPICE Provisional Assessor or equivalent. Strong understanding of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with software verification techniques, including static analysis, unit testing, and tool-based audits.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the Automotive SPICE process assessment model (PAM)
- Proven expertise in software architecture and in developing complex software systems.
- Demonstrated ownership of software quality programs for safety-critical production products.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
What is Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in computer science or Software Engineering
- Strong experience in Automotive Software Development Frameworks.
