About the Role
This position is within HARMAN’s Professional Solutions SBU. The Professional Solutions SBU requires a competent product and solutions expert to become its Application Engineer. The position will work within a matrix organization and will have to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and will also provide technical training to support business to achieve their objectives using HARMAN solutions.

What You Will Do 
•    Develop designs that meet customer functional and budgetary requirements.
•    Generate functional and connection-level drawings for audio, video, control, and lighting systems.
•    Generate and provide Bill of Materials (BOM) to system integrators (SI), including recommendation for 3rd party solutions.
•    Generate Engineering Design and Specification Packages for SI and consultants
•    Generate Simulation reports where needed for proposal submissions
•    Work closely with our product specialist from the Audio, Video/Control and Lighting business unit, to incorporate the latest and most effective solutions into our designs and support and provide guidance to new systems integrator on-site for major projects
•    Coordinate and conduct Systems Design and Integration training program for new SI with Harman’s product specialist.
•    Define functional requirements for systems programmer (Audio DSP and AMX Control programs)
•    Configure, program and commission Audio Visual systems which can include audio, video and control, and/or lighting systems.
•    Conduct trainings for consultants, partners, customers.

What You Need to Be Successful
•    Ability to communicate in English will be preferred.
•    Minimum 5 years of experience of system design experience in a system integrator company
•    Experience in designing and installing audio visual and lighting solutions.
•    Prior experience with designing and commissioning systems for MICE, Hotel Ballrooms, Large Corporate meeting spaces, Performance Arts Centres preferred.
•    Experience with major brands of sound reinforcement system (JBL/QSC/EV/Yamaha/Bose), audio DSP (BSS/Qsys/Biamp), and control system and switching hardware (AMX/Crestron/Extron/Kramer).

Bonus Point if You Have

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is desirable.
•    Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, vlans, and VPN.
•    Strong network connection with industry consultant is a plus.
•    Experience using CAD, Sketchup or related modelling programs.
•    Experience in EASE or simulation program is a plus.
•    Experience in programming control systems or familiar with popular programming language(s) eg. Groovy, Javascript, or Python 3.
•    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings, schematics, technical procedures and governmental/industry regulations.
