About the Role
We are looking for a Junior DevOps / CI‑CD Engineer with foundational knowledge of GitLab CI, Jenkins pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. This role is ideal for early‑career engineers who are passionate about automation, cloud‑native technologies, and modern software delivery practices, and are eager to grow in a DevOps environment.
What You Will Do
- Assist in building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Support automation of build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Work with Docker to containerize applications and services.
- Support deployment and basic operations on Kubernetes (K8s) environments.
- Help monitor CI/CD pipeline executions and troubleshoot pipeline failures.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
- Learn and follow best practices for DevOps, automation, and infrastructure management.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
- Exposure to GitLab CI and/or Jenkins pipelines.
- Hands-on or academic experience with Docker.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) concepts such as pods, services, and deployments.
- Familiarity with Linux fundamentals.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python or Shell is a plus).
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Hands-on project or internship experience in DevOps or Cloud technologies.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- Exposure to monitoring or logging tools.
- Certification or coursework related to DevOps, Docker, or Kubernetes.
What Makes You Eligible
- 0 to 1 year of experience, including internships, academic projects, or hands-on labs.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
