About the Role

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our growing team. As Backend Developer, you will contribute to development and buildout of components of our customer’s advertising platform which brings recommended content to millions of media-enabled devices worldwide.

Expertise you bring to the team, will play a crucial role in building modern, well performing, services which we will use to deliver targeted conent to our users. On daily basis, you will be collaborating with other professionals around design, implementation, and review of the source code, followed by delivery of proper documentation and quality.

What You Will Do

  • Design, architect, and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems to support our applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in languages such as [Go, Erlang, Python, Ruby, Java], adhering to best practices and quality standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to testing and maintenance.
  • Optimize solutions for performance, scalability and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, ensuring the reliability and scalability of the backend infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for both code and system architecture.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • University degree in Computer Sciences, Telecommunication and/ or similar.
  • At least 4 years of commercial experience in developing cloud based, backend oriented services.
  • Extensive experience in building REST/gRPC based services (ex. Web application Development)
  • Hands on experience in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as GoLang, Python, Java etc.
  • Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with various databases like MySql, PostgreSql, Mongo.
  • Excellent problem-solving (using Data Structures and Algorithms) and communication skills.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Hands-on experience of cloud services (AWS is preferred) and tools and platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools like Grafana is a plus.
  • Ad Tech related hands-on experience.
