About the Role
You will lead and own business architecture design, process development, and system development from a Change and Configuration Management perspective, in a specific business domain connected to our central PLM Environment (ex. Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, etc).
Your Domain focus area is Manufacturing Quality. Scope focuses on the quality processes in the Manufacturing Flow and plant procedures. Examples of work include Incoming Goods Inspection, Supplier Quality Management (SQA), Process Audit, First Article Inspection (FAI), Process FMEA (PFMEA), Control Plan, Quality Alerts, Warranty, etc.
Configuration Management means the process of building an enterprise with Clear, Concise, and Valid information that is Changed, Integrated, and managed throughout the Product Lifecycle achieving process excellence.
You will work and architect with members of your team (CM System Engineers), architect information management with functional areas of the business (ex. Engineering), and build solutions with our Digital IT group to achieve operational excellence.
You will learn the system capabilities, so you can work closely with our team and Digital IT teams to solve complex process and system issues enabling successful design, deployment, and integration in the Configuration Management Systems with related enterprise system enablers (PLM, ERP, MES, ALM).
Portfolio of Technology enablers includes Enterprise Systems (ex. Siemens Teamcenter, Opcenter), Low-Code Development (ex. Mendix), Analytics (ex. QLIK), and Various Database/Data Structure frameworks (ex, Snowflake, Databricks)
This role will function at a highly collaborative, leadership, Business Process Design & Architecture level to lead transformation in the business operations.
What You Will Do
- Act as a business process architect and owner of the Change and Configuration process for an assigned domain area, focused on scalability and integration to the HARMAN business operations.
- Run, own, and deliver projects end to end in your given domain, to implement new process capabilities or improve existing processes
- Act as an owner with Business Functional Areas by storyboarding, process mapping, and architecting on how the fundamentals of Change and Configuration Solutions will work, for a given new technology, module, and/or process (ex. Centralized MCAD data management, Procurement Source Plans, Bill of Process, Program Schedule & Work Product management, etc)
- Lead, own and drive how master data will be established and managed through the CMII changes process
- Develop in-depth knowledge of systems and processes in the domain area, to partner and build the right solutions and procedures.
- Work closely with your teammates who run Configuration Management operations to solve complex problems and support with exceptional tool design.
- Identify potential issues in change and quality management, formulating problem statements and developing solutions.
- Continuous creativity and curiosity, to be thinking “two steps ahead” and driving our business to operational excellence both in process, systems, and people.
- Performing as necessary administrative tasks in the Domain area as defined or required.
- Support business departments (ex. Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement), depending on your domain, with the solutions and processes launched.
- Perform Root Cause problem solving on complex business processes and system issues to enable continuous improvement and achievement of Quality & PLM phase objectives.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Relevant technical Bachelor or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Engineering or relevant degree to the Domain area
- 5-7 years working experience with the area in an Automotive Supplier or OEM.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects and practice Risk-Management
- Demonstrated skill and knowledge in the Domain Area
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create effective presentations and project documentation.
- Strong competence in collaboration tools (Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams).
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed while ability to work in teams and motivate others in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

- AIAG Certification
- Masters Degree
- Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM Applications
- CMII Configuration Management certification (Certified or Professional)
- Professional certification in change management / project management
- Knowledge and application of continuous improvement philosophies
