Description & Requirements

  • Responsibilities:

    • Infrastructure Management: Provision, configure, and maintain AWS resources, including EC2 instances, databases, networking components, and storage solutions.
    • Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
    • Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, CloudFormation) to streamline deployments, patching, and other operational tasks.
    • Security: Implement and enforce security best practices, including access control, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
    • Patching & Maintenance: Regularly patch and update servers and applications to maintain security and stability.
    • Networking: Design, implement, and troubleshoot AWS networking infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and VPNs.
    • Cost Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs, including resource utilization, reserved instances, and right-sizing.
    • Incident Response: Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts, working to restore services quickly and efficiently.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing and operating AWS infrastructure in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and AWS networking services (VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, etc.).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK stack).
  • Solid understanding of security best practices in the cloud.
  • Experience with cost optimization strategies in AWS.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Certified SysOps Administrator, Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus
