About the Role

The position is accountable for hunting new business from prospects in North America region through Direct Sales and Customer Relationship Management.  The focus is on new account acquisition in the Lifesciences and Clinical research industries.
 

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the head of HLS business in USA

What You Will Do

  • Business development and sales strategy for new customers in North America

  • Understand customer business needs and craft a value proposition to position Harman DTS

  • Own and drive RFI / RFP responses.

  • Coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders (Account, Practice, Alliance, Delivery, Finance and Legal teams) to ensure development of best solution and proposal leading to deal closure. 

  • Build and nurture networks for business growth.  

  • Own order booking and revenue commit numbers for the business, focusing on high-quality / sticky and differentiated deals. 

  • Customer relationship management across Product Engineering and IT 

  • Ensure year-on-year business growth through both strategic and tactical approaches to revenue and order book.

What You Need

  • Bachelor of Engineering / Computer Science Engineering. MBA from reputed institute is an added advantage. 

  • 18-25 years of Industry experience with at least 10 years in sales / account management roles in the IT / Product engineering services organizations for the Lifesciences/ Clinical research industry

  • Experience in working with “C” level/Sr Executive level contacts in these accounts.

  • Good understanding of the Lifesciences and Clinical research domain

  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle and technology in areas like Software, Cloud, Data engineering, Analytics, AI/ML etc. 

  • Should have prior experience of selling digital engineering services and delivering to quotas.

  • Proven Experience in account and customer relationship management 

  • Should be proficient in written and verbal communication. Should be capable of presenting proposals, offerings, solutions to customers. Should have good problem-solving skills and should be an excellent team player.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Experience in working with global MedTech, Pharma or Clinical research organisations

  • Strong experience of opening new logos, new business development activities through leading direct sales in North America region

  • Strong network and contacts in the industry 

  • Run a disciplined sales pipeline including lead management, qualification, and bringing established sales methods to the sales process

  • Be willing to travel 35-50%, domestic travel

Pay Transparency
$ 150,000 - $ 220,000

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.

Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
