About the Role

The ABAP analyst will analyze, developing and support the ABAP operations of the SAP ABAP for the Digital Supply Chain. This role will also act as a subject matter and peer review expert on projects or programs that require changes or enhancements related to SAP ABAP.  This will have a constant collaboration with the internal supply chain analyst, architects and a set of service providers/contractors that will be engaged when working on the projects, services request and incidents that required ABAP intervention.

What You Will Do

  • Analysis, design, program and transfer of business requirements in the areas of SAP ABAP Programming
  • Troubleshoot application and technical issues and opportunities, define and document technical requirements, drive solutions for process improvements, and implement solutions that require ABAP programming.
  • Daily support business users, maintain up-to-date working knowledge of business processes and systems and provide integration support to trading partners.
  • Responsible for design, development, test and delivery of technical objects of ABAP Reporting, ABAP Webdynpro, Dialogue programming, Forms etc.
  • Writing Technical Design, Designing and Developing Solution and Testing.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and develop/support for issue solving.
  • Do the peer review for SCM developments
  • Provide End-to-end support of ABAP
  • Performs or coordinate functionality tests of new and updated applications and systems to verify desired results are achieved. Evaluates results and coordinates or makes modifications to improve system performance. Creates test plans as required. Participates in application updates and upgrade projects.
  • Follows established methodologies during system development and ensures systems adhere to the Harman ABAP standards and procedures established by the Digital department. Develop and maintain all system related documentation as needed.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Minimum 5 to 6 years deep experience on ABAP development including forms; interfaces; conversions; reports.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computers, Information Technology or related field
  • Must have 3 years minimum experience of converting functional specification to technical specification, coding, unit testing and documentation of the custom development.
  • Required skills – SAP ABAP Reporting, Dialogue programming, LSMW, BDC, BAPI, Data Dictionary, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, RFCs, Object Oriented ABAP, Infoset for Queries, Webdynpro, etc.
  • English 90%, Advance English level (reading and writing that allow fluid presentations).

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and work in multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing existing code for better performance
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing, strategic projects as well as Application Development projects.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • SAP ABAP / programing module certification. (S4 hana ABAP certification and FIORI apps knowledge is a big plus)
  • ABAP development experience on SAP ECC across function like on MM, SRM(WM), PP, Ariba, SD, FICO is a big plus.
  • Having SAP ME, EDI, Ariba functional basic knowledge is nice to have.
  • Ariba cloud implementation experience.
  • BI and Analytics experience.
  • Project management related certifications (PMO, Agile, Scrum).
  • Confluence or Jira Knowledge.
  • Formal Problem-solving training or certifications.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to work in an office, manufacturing facility in Ciudad Juarez or Queretaro Mexico if required
  • Be willing to work in a remote environment and travel when required to the main offices in Mexico
  • Successfully completing a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
