About the Role

Engineer – SAP FICO will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions within the finance and controlling domains. Leveraging industry best practices and prior experience, this role aims to enhance financial processes and tools. In addition to leading and supporting various projects, Engineer will provide third-level support across all business units related to finance and controlling. This individual will also play a key role in training team members in technical areas and mentoring new associates.

What You Will Do

  • Work as part of a project team as lead and/or member to coordinate development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Manage the configuration and deployment of Finance modules including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), and Project Systems (PS).
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions, offering best practice recommendations to address key challenges.
  • Play a pivotal role in solution architecture and design.
  • Drive automation and transformation initiatives within GSSC projects.
  • Demonstrate cross-functional expertise in Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP).
  • Review ABAP code to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Evaluate project requests to estimate timelines and resource requirements.
  • Develop training materials, configuration guides, and process documentation; organize and deliver training sessions.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • A minimum of 6-9 years of hands-on experience in configuring SAP FICO or SAP S/4HANA FICO.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to thrive in dynamic project environments and manage multiple initiatives in both lead and support roles.
  • Extensive experience in global SAP S/4HANA FICO implementations, particularly within the automotive industry.
  • Skilled in cross-cultural communication, influence, and problem-solving, with a high degree of cultural awareness.
  • Proficient in English with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills; adept at conflict resolution, collaboration, and negotiation.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Cost Accounting, or an MBA with a specialization in Finance.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Certified in SAP S/4HANA FICO.
