About the Role
The HR Helpdesk Tier 1 role serves as a key operational backbone of the Korea HR function, ensuring accurate, compliant, and high‑quality execution of all core HR processes. This role is responsible for managing end‑to‑end HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data administration, payroll and benefits coordination, statutory reporting, pension management, and HR documentation governance. The position plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, strengthening employee experience, and supporting business continuity by delivering timely and precise HR services. This role will closely collaborate with the HRBP, HR CoEs, and external partners to ensure seamless HR process execution and continuous improvement across the organization. This role will report to the Global Helpdesk/ Regional Hub Manager.
What You Will Do
HR Operations & HRIS Administration
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers seeking assistance through the HR Helpdesk (via ServiceNow, email, or chat).
- Handle Tier 1 inquiries related to the end-to-end onboarding & offboarding process, including contract preparation, equipment requests, system account setup, first-day coordination, resignation workflow, stakeholder notifications, account deactivation, and document archiving.
- Handle Tier 1 inquiries related to leave and time management systems (Shiftee, Workday) and ensure accurate attendance and leave records.
- Maintain HR documents in compliance with legal retention requirements and internal guidelines.
- Support data entry, corrections, and updates in Workday and other HR systems.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate responses within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Log, categorize, and resolve tickets in ServiceNow, ensuring proper documentation of resolutions and escalations.
- Route complex or investigative queries to Tier 2 or COE’s following standard escalation protocols.
Payroll, Benefits & Statutory Administration
- Coordinate and validate monthly payroll inputs with payroll partners, including compensation changes, allowances, and deductions.
- Administer statutory and company benefits programs
- Manage statutory reporting requirements
- Represent HR during external audits, including mid-year, year-end, and tax settlement audits.
- Manage DB/DC pension plans and ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policy.
HR Reporting & Data Integrity
- Prepare regular HR operational reports, including headcount, turnover, and process completion metrics.
- Provide ad-hoc HR data and insights to leadership and key stakeholders.
Knowledge & Process Excellence
- Participate in knowledge base creation and maintenance; recommend content updates or new self-service articles
- Provide guidance on Tier 0 self-service tools (chatbot, FAQs) to empower employee autonomy
- Leverage the HR Knowledge Base to provide consistent and compliant responses.
- Identify recurring or trending issues and suggest improvements to FAQs and knowledge articles.
- Collaborate with HRCC peers and process owners to drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
Employee Experience & Service Quality
- Maintain a strong customer service orientation, ensuring every interaction reinforces a positive employee experience.
- Support HR campaigns, audits, and process transitions as part of HR transformation initiatives at the CC.
- Participate in team meetings, cross-training, and quality reviews to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Support the planning and execution of internal employee engagement activities and company-wide meetings.
- Contribute to enhancing the employee experience through effective HR operational support
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- 5 - 8 years’ experience in HR Shared Services, HR Operations, HR Helpdesk, or HRIS support
- Experience supporting HR case management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Workday)
- Solid understanding of HR processes: onboarding/offboarding, leave, benefits, payroll inquiries, employee data updates
- Proficient with HRIS platforms (Workday, ServiceNow, etc.) and Microsoft Office
