What You Will Do
Development, test and verification of analog and digital functional blocks (e.g. power supply, MCU/SoC units etc.) within complex hardware architectures under considering of quality, cost and suitability for series.
Realization of system designs, schematics and/or schematics integration of hardware applications in the range of medium to high complexity under consideration of Harman guidelines.
Layout review and layout in depth guidance together with the functional blocks experts to ensure the correct functionality of the design.
Signal and Power Integrity Simulations to ensure that the design is respecting the given requirements.
Direct and assist the bring up and debugging of new design prototypes, specifying testing parameters and procedures.
Perform technical measurements on our products (EMC, Thermal, functional).
Specification of the technical requirements for purchased parts, of functional blocks and the evaluation and selection of suitable supplier.
Assistance in the analysis and evaluation of customer requirements (RFC, RFI, RFQ), BOM estimates and calculation, effort estimation.
Documentation: Data for Schematic, Layout PCB & Manufacturing, Part List, Technical Functional Specifications and Hardware-Software Interface, measurement reports.
Redesign of existing analog/digital functional blocks according to change requests (customer change requests, PCN, PTN …).
Global cooperation with peer HW groups and other departments, such as Software, Mechanical, Quality, Manufacturing during the development process.
Maintenance support for legacy projects/platforms.
Review overall HW design under functional safety aspects and guide team members to develop HW meeting the ISO26262.
