HR Business Partner – EU (1- Year Fixed Term Contract)

About the Role:

Are you motivated by shaping high‑performing organizations and influencing leaders through change?

As our EU HR Business Partner, you will act as a senior, strategic advisor across the Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium and Spain. You’ll partner with leadership teams to lead organizational change, drive performance, and navigate complex, multi-country environments.

You will lead on complex employee relations and play a key role in engaging and influencing employee representative bodies, including the German Works Council (Betriebsrat) and French CSE, ensuring compliant, business‑aligned outcomes.

You will also coach and develop an HR Generalist who is the first point of contact for managers providing oversight on complex matters, building capability, and ensuring consistent delivery across the employee lifecycle.

This role combines strategic influence with hands-on delivery, requiring strong experience in organizational change, stakeholder management, and multi-country employment frameworks.

What You Will Do:

Strategic & Operational HR Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Europe, providing pragmatic, business-aligned HR guidance
  • Deliver both strategic and hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle
  • Partner with leadership to build organizational capability, support growth, and drive workforce planning
  • Translate business strategy into actionable, regionally aligned people plans

Employee Relations, Legal & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with European labor laws across multiple jurisdictions, including EOR arrangements
  • Lead complex employee relations cases (investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances)
  • Maintain HR policies aligned with local legal and business requirements
  • Manage relationships with Works Councils (Betriebsrat), French CSE, and other representative bodies
  • Lead consultation processes, ensuring strong documentation, compliance, and stakeholder engagement

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

  • Support compensation cycles, including salary reviews, bonuses, and pay adjustments
  • Contribute to job evaluation, grading, and benchmarking
  • Partner with payroll and reward teams to ensure accurate and compliant delivery

HR Operations & Systems

  • Ensure accurate and compliant HR data and documentation
  • Manage HR processes, organizational changes, and workflows in Workday
  • Generate and interpret HR data to provide actionable business insights

Change Management & Projects

  • Support cross-border HR projects, including organizational change and integration initiatives
  • Deliver project milestones across multiple countries in line with business priorities
  • Drive effective stakeholder management, communication, and adoption of change

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • At least 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience in an international, multi-country environment
  • Strong expertise in European labour law and employee relations
  • Experience working with German and/or French Works Councils / employee representative bodies
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in change management, projects, and organisational transformation
  • Familiarity with HR systems and confidence working with data
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working across international teams

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Fluency in additional European languages (e.g. French or German)
  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms
  • Background working in a global, US-based organization

  • Ideally based near Eindhoven, though other European locations near a HARMAN location across Netherlands, France, Spain, UK may be considered; this is a hybrid role requiring regular presence at one of our office locations
  • Flexibility to collaborate across international teams and accommodate varying working hours

Pay Transparency
€ 73,725 - € 108,130
The above represents the annual gross base salary range for this role.
