About the Role:
From the moment you join us, you’ll gain incredible experience supporting JBL’s online and in‑store retail success. As our Customer Marketing Intern, you will be: managing product send‑outs, reporting, briefing, and supplying key assets to our retail partners.
You will be at the heart of our new product launches and campaigns across both Retail and PR. Everything you do and learn here has a direct impact on the UK & Ireland business. You will join a dedicated team of three colleagues, reporting directly into the Customer Marketing Manager UK & Ireland, while collaborating closely with our UK & Ireland Sales team.
What You Will Do:
Retailer Support & Execution
- Asset Adaptation: Help bring our brand to life by adapting creative assets (digital banners, social content, and POS materials) to meet specific retailer requirements for both online and in‑store campaigns.
- Launch Coordination: Support the team in preparing launch kits, staff training, and event materials for new products, ensuring our retail partners have everything they need to showcase our latest innovations.
- Retailer Audits: Monitor how our brand is presented across retail channels, ensuring we are winning both in‑store and online, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Customer Engagement & Logistics
- Take charge of the hands‑on logistics for product sampling and send‑outs across influencer, PR, and retailer programs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Event Assistance
- Get behind the scenes of PR launches and B2B trade events, providing essential on-site support to ensure a premium brand experience.
Market Research & Reporting
- Campaign Reporting: Assist in gathering data and supporting the execution of Post‑Campaign Analysis (PCA) to help the team measure the success of our retail activations.
- Market Tracking: Act as our eyes and ears in the market by tracking promotions, new launches, and shopper trends, providing the team with valuable insights.
- Ad‑hoc Project Support: Support the wider Sales and Marketing teams with daily tasks, gaining a 360‑degree understanding of how a brand grows within a retail environment.
What You Need to be Successful:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with a strong interest in Marketing/Business
- You possess excellent communication skills with the confidence to speak up, share ideas, and build strong rapport with internal teams and external retail partners.
- You are proactive and adaptable, thriving in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- You have a keen eye for detail, whether it’s proofing digital assets, checking retailer requirements, or ensuring product shipments are 100% accurate.
- You are analytical and quality‑driven, comfortable working with data and performing due diligence to maintain high standards across all tasks.
- You are highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel for data tracking and PowerPoint for creating visually engaging presentations.
- You are a fast learner with a can‑do attitude, consistently focused on delivering high‑quality work on time.
- You have a genuine interest in audio and music, allowing you to speak passionately about our products and connect with customers authentically.
Eligibility Requirements
- You are based in the UK, with the ability to work from our Apsley office (hybrid working).
- You are available from 1st of July for a 12‑month placement.
- You are fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- You are a current UK resident with a valid right to work in the UK for the full duration of the placement.
