About the Role:

Are you ready to take ownership of key accounting processes and make an impact in a dynamic international finance environment?

As a Lead Accountant within the Lifestyle Division EMEA, you will take end-to-end ownership of key accounting activities, including month‑end close process, statutory reporting, and audit coordination for multiple European entities.

You will act as a subject matter expert and provides senior‑level guidance and support on complex accounting issues,

working closely with the Finance & Controlling Teams, FP&A, and our Shared Service Centers in Hungary and India to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Own the monthly and quarterly IFRS reporting and close activities for multiple European legal entities, and prepare and coordinate annual statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Own and coordinate VAT, Intrastat, and other statutory filings, ensuring all required monthly and quarterly reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Lead and coordinate statutory audits across multiple countries, managing all interactions with external auditors and internal audit teams.
  • Analyze and validate financial results, overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting standards
  • Partner closely with the FP&A team and collaborate with Shared Service Centers to ensure consistent and high‑quality accounting processes.
  • Act as the primary accounting contact for internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities and global controlling teams, providing guidance on accounting and reporting matters.
  • Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, including system enhancements, automation and standardization efforts

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience working within an IFRS‑based reporting framework.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating effective prioritization, a proactive approach, and confidence in working independently
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a complex, multicultural, international environment, collaborating across countries, time zones, and functions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively with tight and changing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment when working with incomplete or ambiguous data
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in another European language (Dutch, German, French) is an advantage.

What is Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Knowledge/ exposure to other European GAAP frameworks (e.g., German, French, Dutch)
  • Experience with SAP FI/CO
  • Audit experience in a Big Four environment
  • Experience coordinating with Shared Service Centers
  • Prior involvement in finance transformation or system implementation initiatives
  • Experience working within a SOX or formal internal control environment
