Description & Requirements

  • RTL Linting:
    • Running static code analysis tools to identify potential design issues in HDL code like syntax errors, coding style violations, potential timing issues, and logic inconsistencies. 
    • Analyzing lint reports and fixing identified issues in the RTL code. 
    • Customizing lint rules based on project requirements and design guidelines. 
  • CDC Verification:
    • Identifying and analyzing signals crossing different clock domains within the design. 
    • Ensuring proper synchronization mechanisms are implemented at clock domain crossings to avoid data corruption. 
    • Analyzing CDC reports and fixing identified issues in the RTL code. 
Required skills for a Lint and CDC role:
  • Strong understanding of VLSI design principles and HDL languages (Verilog/VHDL) 
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard linting and CDC verification tools like Synopsys Spyglass 
  • Knowledge of design constraints and timing analysis 
  • Experience in debugging complex design issues related to RTL coding and clock domain crossings 
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automating lint and CDC checks
