About the Role:

Join Harman Lifestyle Consumer Audio EMEA as a Logistics manager and become an integral part of our regional supply chain team! Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, you'll be responsible for the logistical and warehouse operations, taking charge of every aspect of our supply chain.

To succeed in this role, you should have thorough knowledge of supply chain management and understanding of logistics procedures, but also truly enjoy overseeing and implementing solutions that require cooperation with several stakeholders and departments as well as knowledge and understanding of different IT tools within Supply chain.

Your Team:

In this role, you will report to the Supply Chain Director, within the Operations department, and manage 2 direct reports (1 Sr. Stock controller and 1 Spare parts and product compliance specialist) who will support you in daily operations and projects.

Within the Harman Consumer Lifestyle EMEA region, the Logistics Manager is responsible for Warehousing (both finished good and Spare Part) activities including Contract Management of 3rd parties. The Logistics Manager is the first point of contact for all warehousing matters and the link between departments such as Purchasing, Freight In, Sales and Sales Support to ensure that any operational issues/initiatives are resolved.

What You Will Do:

  • Own the KPI’s for warehouse and implement performance improvement on delivery performance and quality of outbound shipments across EU
  • Manage 3PL and logistics service providers’ contracts, and lead MBR and QBR with them.
  • Support the Supply Chain Director in the strategy.
  • Proactively optimize the supply chain from order to delivery and identify key capabilities to be developed and process improvement opportunities in our operations.
  • Manage projects as identified that drive improvements in service, cost, labor, systems use, or other areas as deemed necessary.
  • Able to follow up and ensure execution of projects as per timelines agreed.
  • Provide Performance Dashboard and reporting to management (KPI, cost, projects status)
  • Select logistics service providers, negotiate contract and SLA, and lead implementation on new operations (IT implementation, operational processes)
  • Ensure Cost optimization.
  • Lead your region’s compliance with EHS and DG requirements as it applies to the logistics and coordinate with trade compliance to ensure all documentation and regulatory requirements are met consistently.
  • Stay up to date with all related duties, tariffs, VAT, and customs requirements for your region’s activities.

What You Need to be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or similar
  • At least 7 years relevant work experience in a multidisciplined Logistics role, of which at least 3-5 years’ of managing operations combined with business knowledge.
  • Strong project management skills. Have experience in large project implementation linked to warehouse operations, transportation, and logistics in general.
  • Able to develop and execute changes and initiatives on tactical and strategic level to achieve regional objectives.
  • Strong analytic skills, presenting data as compelling information with high level of attention to details and accuracy of data
  • High level attention to detail to conduct analysis of departmental and organizational data and KPI’s. Consistency of high accuracy.
  • Experience in dealing with highly complex matters and projects that are extremely vulnerable for the future of the team and are of great importance to the department.
  • Independent worker with strong planning and organizing skills

What Makes You Eligible:

  • Be willing to travel up to 40% domestic (one day minimum per week at the office in Amsterdam and one day minimum per week at the Office in the warehouse in Heijen). Depending on seasonality and needs you could be required to be more often at warehouse.
  • Be willing to travel up to 10% in Europe
