About the Role

The MNO Product Compliance Technical Expert position is a key technical leadership position for HARMAN Connected Car programs to ensure country-specific MNO certifications in time and quality. This position requires a broad background in radio frequency technologies, such as cellular technologies, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and related activities to get MNO certifications.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for HARMAN automotive products certifications and type approvals, according to the requirements of MNOs, 3GPP industry and emergency services, in time, budget and quality, by managing related documentation and test requirements

  • Mapping MNOs’ network access approval requirements and test cases to HARMAN’s automotive products use cases and specifications

  • Contribute to increasing HARMAN’s capabilities to execute in their own laboratories and testing facilities, to the maximum possible extent, relevant MNO test cases, to ensure smooth network access approval processes

  • Collaborate with MNOs, Local Representatives, engineering and test teams to ensure that product requirements are feasible, clear, complete, and testable to get MNO certifications

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

  • Broad technical background with extended knowledge about mobile radio communications, with a special focus on 3GPP cellular technologies and standards; broad general knowledge about other technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and automotive requirements

  • Practical hands-on experience in mobile user equipment testing in MNO labs or equivalent, experience in using 3GPP testing equipment

  • Experience in managing external and internal vendors/ partners

  • Experience in working with the telecommunications industry and the automotive industry

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the business

Bonus Points if You Have

  • 2 years of experience in MNO technical testing of 3GPP user equipment or comparable discipline

  • Knowledge in inter-process communication, threading

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Very good English knowledge, both written and verbal
