About the Role

To plan and maintain appropriate levels of materials necessary to support and execute the materials and capacity requirements plan derived from the Master Production Schedule.  Control inventory. Can work independently.
 

Your Team

Report to Supply Chain Manager • Manufacturing.

What You Will Do

Maintain appropriate levels of raw materials and components necessary to execute the Materials Requirement Plan, Production Schedules and Design Engineering builds when requested. Plan and execute material releases to supplier through the Repetitive Purchasing System in an accurate and timely fashion. Expedite supplier to support the production schedule when required. Implement lean manufacturing techniques as related to material handling

and control.Improve inventory turns

Notify Accounting with the appropriate documentation of payment Coordinate material purchases with engineering changes to minimize exposure to obsolete inventory. Advise warehouse supervision of any inbound expedited freight movements. Initiate Material Deviation which may be required to execute the production schedule. Review and reconcile all open purchase order releases on a weekly basis for both repetitive and discrete buys. Maintain, monitor and release Supplier Performance Records, using the Supplier Performance Measurement module of CMI, and report to management performance results in delivery, quality and responsiveness. Review inventory levels, obsolescence, returns and excesses with the Inventory Control and Warehouse Supervision. SAP MM module

What You Need

Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering or related. At least 3-5 years of procurement / production planning / material control or related fields. experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. Working knowledge required includes manufacturing operations, purchasing procedures and policies, materials planning (MRP) and analytical skills. Experience in SAP is preferred           Excellent communications skills required. interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills are also required. Able to work independently. Good English in both oral and written. A certificate of APICS or an equivalent is a plus Interpersonal and Communication Skills Presentation Skills
