About the Role

Provides administrative support to the team to ensure the main metrics required, such as, the optimization of inventories ensuring coverage of customer requirements and SOPs without incurring excess or obsolescence, the accuracy on the forecast to suppliers based on the MRP demands (SAP), measurement of KPIs by maintaining a scorecard for the team, among others. Ensures the service, effective communication and support to the main internal client. Works

hand in hand with the Purchasing Manager to ensure timely delivery of the main reports and assignments

What You Will Do

  • Responsible of ensuring the correct planning releases of purchased parts are being send by the team.

  • Responsible of ensuring a safe launch for all new products from the Purchasing side.

  • Responsible of ensuring the packaging inventory for all FG demands.

  • Coordinating the Engineering changes by the Purchasing side, ensuring close communication with the Eng. Team

  • Validation and optimization of the inventory levels, preventing shortages, excess or obsolescence.

  • Validation and constant update of all purchased parts parameters

  • Balance of the team workloads.

  • Tracks the deliverables of the team and keeps the score cards updated coordinately.

  • Investigates discrepancies on receipt quantities, missing certifications, packing lists, etc.

  • Monitors the supplier performance and action implementation if needed.

  • Negotiates with internal customer any problem related to shipments (delivery problems).

  • Responsible of monitoring and compliance of premium freight goals.

  • Supervises Planners/Buyers & Materials Analysts in function of raw material delivered.

  • Ensure the SAA and SC requirements are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 14001 and IATF16949. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to products, process quality systems and environmental management system.

  • Provide solutions through established communications channels.

  • Ensure compliance with the performance of the management system ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.

  • Compliance task assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Computer proficiency with MS Office applications is a must. knowledge

  • Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to work in a team environment is essential.

  • Strong skills in capacity planning and constraint based planning.

  • BA, BS or Engineering equivalent with a supply chain planning / materials emphasis.

  • Advanced English level.

  • Knowledge of ISO /TS 16949 and ISO 14001.

  • +3 years as planner buyer or in materials department.

  • Customer specific requirements (applicable).
