Introduction: A Career at HARMAN Automotive

We’re a global, multi-disciplinary team that’s putting the innovative power of technology to work and transforming tomorrow. At HARMAN Automotive, we give you the keys to fast-track your career.

  • Engineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms that augment the driving experience
  • Combine ingenuity, in-depth research, and a spirit of collaboration with design and engineering excellence
  • Advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment

About the Role

The Ready Connect Delivery Manager – TCU assumes end-to-end ownership of product delivery and product line execution for one or more Ready Connect product families, including RC1.1Q (Quectel), RC1.1K (Kontron), Ready Connect JOEM, Ready Connect Stratus NAD, SATCOM TCU, and 2 Wheeler TCU. This role anchors delivery on both FFRD (hardware) and BKC (software) baselines, driving reuse, quality, and velocity across the assigned portfolio.

Additionally, you will establish and scale a cybersecurity-first, CI/CD-driven test automation and pre-compliance lab for FFRD+BKC—enabling early EMI/EMC and reliability screening, integrating security tooling into pipelines, and orchestrating HIL validation across connectivity domains (Cellular, GNSS, Wi-Fi, BT/BLE, SATCOM) and vehicle networks (CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet/TSN), accelerating regulatory/OEM approvals.

What You Will Do

Product & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own delivery for FFRD+BKC across one or more of the following product families: RC1.1Q, RC1.1K, JOEM, Stratus NAD, SATCOM TCU, and 2 Wheeler TCU; ensure HBOM↔SBOM mapping, release readiness, and BKC cadence.
  • Co-own HW & SW roadmaps with Product Management; balance platform strategy with customer-specific demands; manage SKU discipline and derivative strategy per PLM100.
  • Maintain ALM traceability (IRS→SRS→TRS/TFS→Test Reports→Release Notes) and conformance to BMS M Gates and PSR thresholds.

Engineering Execution & Practices

  • Direct System, HW, SW, Security, Integration, Validation, and Certification teams to deliver gold-quality BKCs validated on reference FFRDs.
  • Institutionalize SAFe, CI/CD, branching strategy, automated validation, core asset governance, defect triage policy, and DORA/flow metrics.
  • Drive core asset reuse and SDK-agnostic shared libraries; enforce API/contract discipline and documentation maturity.

Customer Management

  • Engage key customers to identify engineering requirements, prioritization & resolve deployment challenges.
  • Contribute to the preparation of RFQ proposals, briefings, and presentations. Act as the face of HARMAN for the Product space.
  • Deliver key POCs and demos to the customer to realize the value of HARMAN products and solutions, seek feedback, and improve the overall customer experience.

Customer Acquisition, RFx & Business Growth

  • Lead new customer acquisition with Portfolio, Sales/CAMs, and BD; develop win themes and differentiation for telematics platforms.
  • Own technical leadership for RFIs/RFQs/CRs (scope, feasibility, solution architecture, CAPEX/OPEX, unit cost, feature/financial strategies, submission quality).
  • Engage C/Director-level customer stakeholders; run roadmap discovery workshops; channel market intelligence into business cases.

Team Leadership

  • Direct & lead the engineering team responsible for both hardware & software components associated with the assigned products/platforms/solutions.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA testers, and other relevant team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and knowledge sharing. Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members, promoting professional growth and development.

Cybersecurity & DevSecOps

  • Embed DevSecOps, FOSS license compliance, dependency scanning, SBOM generation, vulnerability management (CVSS), and security gates in CI/CD.
  • Coordinate ISO 21434/UNECE R155 readiness; align TARA/CSMS with product releases and customer audits.

Quality, Compliance & Lab Enablement

  • Design, commission, and operate a state-of-the-art Pre-Compliance Lab for FFRD+BKC covering EMI/EMC, environmental & reliability (HALT/HASS), thermal, vibration; define lab SOPs, traceability, and calibration plans aligned to M Gate milestones.
  • Enable multi-fixture benches for parallel TCU testing across assigned product families with automated orchestration and results harvesting.

Partnerships & Ecosystem for e2e TCU Business

  • Forge partnerships with lab equipment vendors, certification bodies, network operators (cellular & SATCOM), cloud/AI providers, and NAD suppliers to unlock end-to-end TCU opportunities.
  • Co-create joint reference solutions (FFRD+BKC+services) for demos, PoCs, and RFQs; develop partner GTM motions and co-marketing assets.
  • Negotiate framework agreements for lab access, calibration, and external certification throughput to de-risk timelines.

Stakeholder Management

  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product managers, executives, and other department leads.
  • Communicate project updates, progress reports, and potential challenges to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Address and manage stakeholder expectations while balancing competing priorities and project constraints.
