About the Role
This role serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end product costing lifecycle, coupled with hands-on experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting PCM solutions such as Teamcenter Product Cost Management or equivalent platforms. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Digital to design and deliver solutions that provide both accurate cost information and powerful analytical capabilities
What You Will Do
- Lead and contribute to consulting engagements focused on both product cost management and cost analytics.
- Analyze and optimize existing product costing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement in accuracy, efficiency, and control.
- Design and implement product costing solutions within relevant systems (Teamcenter PCM, aPriori, or custom-built tools), including configuration and customization.
- Collaborate with PLM/ERP teams to integrate costing with BOM, routing, and material data.
- Develop and implement data models and analytical frameworks to extract valuable insights from product cost data.
- Utilize data visualization tools (e.g. Qlik, Klera) to create insightful dashboards and reports that communicate key cost drivers, trends, and variances.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the seamless integration of product costing data with data warehouses, business intelligence platforms, and other analytical tools.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate the accuracy and reliability of both product costing configurations and analytical outputs.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, data flow diagrams, and analytical reports.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for client users on product costing processes, system functionalities, and analytical tools.
- Stay updated with latest trends and tools in digital costing, data analytics, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development of internal knowledge assets, methodologies, and accelerators related to product costing and analytics.
- Supports cost template modeling, calculation rules, scenario configuration.
- Maintains BOM, material master, routing interfaces between PCM and SAP, PLM, MES and other systems.
- Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cost analysis reports and dashboards that help stakeholders monitor and optimize product costing strategies.
- Responsible for data Quality and Governance of Product cost and Carbon data.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 15+ years of consulting or industry experience with a significant focus on both product cost management and data analytics.
- Strong understanding of product costing principles, methodologies (e.g. standard costing, actual costing, activity-based costing), and their data implications.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and implementing product costing modules (e.g. Siemens TCPCM, aPriori).
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical and financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as required by client engagements.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and programming languages.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in cost analysis.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.
- Relevant certifications in areas such as data analytics, business intelligence, PLM, PCM and ERP.
- Experience in Automotive or High-tech industry
