About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and strategically minded Procurement Manager to drive digital transformation and process excellence across our procurement organization. In this role, you will act as the primary owner and subject-matter expert for procurement processes, tools, and digital capabilities. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our procurement ecosystem by leading complex process initiatives, optimizing system functionality, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

As an individual contributor with elevated responsibility, you will provide thought leadership on best practices, define process standards, and serve as the authoritative representative for procurement in enterprise-wide digital and process development initiatives. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams—including IT, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and business units—to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions that strengthen operational performance and support the organization’s long-term digitalization strategy.

Your responsibilities will include designing and improving end-to-end procurement processes, managing system enhancements and capability deployments, developing governance structures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead key projects, influence stakeholders, and ensure that procurement’s digital roadmap is executed effectively and in line with strategic priorities.

What You Will Do

  • Procurement Process and System Management:

    • Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for end-to-end procurement processes, digital tools, and system capabilities, providing guidance and strategic insight to stakeholders across the organization.

    • Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of process and system enhancements, collaborating with cross-functional partners to drive automation, standardization, and digital enablement.

    • Monitor system performance and process adherence, proactively resolving issues, mitigating risks, and maintaining high levels of operational reliability and user satisfaction.

    • Act as the procurement representative in enterprise-wide digital initiatives, ensuring integration, data quality, and process continuity across systems and functions.

    • Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and process standards, enabling clarity, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.

  • Process Development and Improvement:

    • Lead the design, development, and ongoing refinement of procurement processes and workflows, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization, and translate findings into structured improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement requirements are incorporated into enterprise process architectures and digital ecosystems.

    • Establish and maintain governance frameworks and process documentation, enabling consistency, transparency, and adherence across global procurement teams and stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Process Development:

    • Serve as the primary procurement representative in cross-functional process development and transformation initiatives, ensuring procurement’s priorities, data needs, and operational standards are embedded into broader business processes.

    • Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to design and implement integrated, end-to-end processes that support seamless procurement operations and enable enterprise-wide digital connectivity.

    • Contribute to the design and implementation of standardized procurement processes.

    • Act as a liaison between procurement and other business functions, facilitating alignment, communication, and solution adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Collaboration in Improvement Projects:

    • Work closely with category teams, operations, and system experts to design and implement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency, data quality, compliance, and user experience.

    • Contribute to the design and implementation of initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness and efficiency.

    • Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.

  • Digital Transformation of Procurement:

    • Collaborate with the digital transformation team & the Digital Project leads within the Operations Excellence team to drive digital initiatives within Procurement & BCA.

    • Identify opportunities for leveraging digital technologies and automation in procurement processes.

    • Provide input and insights on the digital roadmap for procurement.

What You Need

  • University degree in a business or digital function or equivalent experience

  • 7-10 years of business experience within procurement or surrounding functions

  • Progressive experience in procurement processes, tools, and systems management.

  • Understanding of procurement best practices and digitalization trends.

  • Knowledge of procurement software and systems.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies.

  • Affinity to design processes and tools

What is Nice to Have

  • Process ownership or process development experience

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (yellow/green belt or comparable)

  • Experience in different procurement functions or tools (Ivalua or similar) within and outside HARMAN
