SAP FICO Specialist

A Career at HARMAN Lifestyle:

We’re a global, multi-disciplinary team that’s putting the innovative power of technology to work and transforming tomorrow. As a member of HARMAN Lifestyle, you connect consumers with the power of superior sound.

  • Contribute your talents to high-end, esteemed brands like JBL, Harman Kardon, Mark Levinson and Revel.
  • Unite your passion for audio innovation with high-tech product development.
  • Create pitch-perfect, cutting-edge technology that elevates the listening experience.

About the Role:

Join our global team driving digital transformation through SAP Finance solutions. As a SAP FICO specialist, you will play a key role in shaping how data and systems support our business operations, collaborating across departments to deliver meaningful business value.

As part of Sound United's integration into the global HARMAN organization, we have launched a strategic transformation program to align our business processes and systems with HARMAN's global operating model. Our objective is to operate as one integrated company by adopting standardized processes, leveraging HARMAN's proven best practices and capabilities, and maximizing the value of a single global platform.

A key part of this transformation is the migration of our SAP landscape from SAP ECC to HARMAN's S/4HANA (N-ERP). The project is currently in the Fit-to-Standard/Fit-Gap workshop phase, during which we are assessing how our existing processes align with the HARMAN template and identifying any required gaps. This phase will continue through the end of September, after which the project will move into the realization, implementation, and development stage.

In this role, you will take on the lead SAP FI position within the N-ERP program, succeeding the current FI Lead and playing a pivotal role throughout the implementation. Your primary focus will be SAP Finance (FI), making a strong functional understanding of SAP FI processes essential. Knowledge of SAP Controlling (CO) is an advantage but is not required. Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation projects is highly desirable.

Beyond the N-ERP program, you will analyze, define, and document business requirements and processes, translating them into functional specifications for IT solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across business units, IT teams, and external partners to ensure solutions meet business needs and contribute to our ongoing digital transformation.

What You Will Do:

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business and reporting requirements.
    • Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional and technical specifications.
    • Conduct gap analyses and identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization.

  • Data Analysis & Validation:
    • Perform data analysis and validation to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues.
    • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data mappings, and metadata documentation.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, external partners, and management.
    • Provide training and support to end users on SAP Finance processes, reporting tools, and new system functionality.
    • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate requirements, solutions, findings, and recommendations.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of business analysis techniques, methodologies, and tools. We value depth of experience and transferable skills.
  • Strong experience with SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA, with a particular focus on SAP Finance (FI).
  • Experience managing external vendors and holding them accountable for delivering agreed outcomes.
  • Proven leadership experience leading projects, influencing stakeholders, and guiding teams in solving complex business and technical challenges.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Familiarity with software development methodologies in a large, global organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, other SAP functional areas, such as Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD).
  • Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel domestically and internationally. Travel requirements may be higher during key phases of the SAP S/4HANA (N-ERP) implementation project. Outside of the project, regular travel is expected to be approximately 5%.
  • Be willing to work in a hybrid environment based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible work environment, with a hybrid working model requiring three days per week in the office.
  • Access to employee discounts on world-class products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, and more).
  • Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University.
