About the Role
As part of the mechanical engineering team in Aarhus you will contribute with component and system designs, as an expert in injection molded components. This means being part of projects and working hand-in-hand with our mechanical designers as well as systems engineering and other stakeholders.
For our a global organization with the primary manufacturing site in Hungary, a sister R&D department in Shenzhen, and a global supplier base, we are looking for a candidate with an international mindset to ensure smooth cooperation with diverse stakeholders.
The right candidate brings a fresh perspective on design & innovation and has the ability to contribute with specific expertise in polymer component design. We are looking for a team player that excels in solving complex development challenges in a dynamic team.
You will take a lead role with hands-on responsibilities working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Your Team
This position will report to Sr Manager, Mechanical Engineering.
What You Will Do
- Take a lead role with hands-on responsibilities in the development of mechanical designs from idea to production
- Participate in project teams as a mechanical engineer
- Support manufacturing during prototype builds and production start-up in assessing and resolving design and quality issues
- Cooperation with other internal departments and external suppliers globally
- Prototype designs using in-house and 3rd party resources.
What You Need
- 5+ years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering with a proven track record in plastic design.
- University bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineering or comparable education.
- Expertise in the design process from idea to production.
- Advanced CAD skills, preferably SolidWorks.
- Knowhow in supplier collaboration and design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Danish and English.
- Collaboration skills with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and assembly methods.

- Ability to connect the dots between own tasks and project/team deliverables, work proactively and independently, and engage in technical debate with engineering functions
- Experience in cooperating with Chinese manufacturers and engineers.
