About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and driven professional to build and maintain Bluetooth-connected JBL mobile applications for globally launched JBL consumer audio products. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and global R&D stakeholders to deliver high-quality mobile application solutions. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a go-getter attitude are essential for success in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop robust BLE and BREDR Bluetooth communication solutions between Android applications and JBL speaker devices.

  • Own the end-to-end Android application development lifecycle for consumer audio products.

  • Develop responsive and user-friendly Android interfaces using MVVM architecture with Kotlin and Java in Android Studio.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional global R&D teams, including firmware, hardware, and QA teams, to deliver features aligned with business and product requirements.

  • Actively participate in agile development activities such as sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and code reviews to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement.

  • Utilize AI tools and modern development practices to enhance development efficiency and contribute to innovation initiatives within the Consumer Audio domain.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Android application development.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Bluetooth application development, including BLE and BR/EDR protocol.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Android UI development.

  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across multiple Android devices and OS versions.

  • Proficient in Android Studio, Kotlin, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Knowledge of Java and web development technologies will be an added advantage.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Bonus Points if You Have  

  • B.Tech, Master’s in Computer Science, or a related domain.

  • Experience in leveraging AI tools to enhance development efficiency and innovation.

  • Prior experience working in the Consumer Audio domain.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional global R&D teams.
