What You Will Do:

  • Design, write, and debug code in C++ for running on desktop operating systems.

  • Plan projects prior to writing code.

  • Use Agile Scrum methodology for software development.

  • Conform to software development best practices and the practices and policies laid out by HARMAN Technology Group.

  • Provide input for documentation of new or existing programs.

  • Perform technical research, monitors current trends and changes in technology.

  • Interface with all departments within the company.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.

  • Must have at least 5 years of development experience using C++.

  • Must have at least 3 years of development experience on Windows.

  • Have previously worked on large scale desktop applications.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Must be a consummate professional with the ability to handle confidential information.

  • Must be comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization.

  • Must be willing to communicate with global teams.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Experience developing applications in Qt.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking.

  • Understanding of OpenGL, especially 2D.

  • Familiar with relational databases and SQL queries.

  • Familiar with performance profilers.

  • Have an understanding of basic audio concepts.

  • Good presentation skills.
