About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Manager to lead our software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex software projects, cultivating high-performing teams, and driving strategic technology programs. This role requires a strong leader who can navigate dynamic environments and deliver scalable solutions that enhance our audio products.

What You Need to Be Successful
- Technical Competence: Experience with embedded systems and enterprise applications. Spearheaded projects with a strong emphasis on quality assurance, automation, version control while driving efficiency and scalability.
- Agile Methodologies: Proficient in Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage software development projects effectively.
- Atlassian Products: Experience using Atlassian products, specifically Jira, for project tracking and team collaboration.
- Data Analytics: Ability to leverage data analytics to make informed decisions and improve software performance.
- Team Leadership & Communication: Skilled at aligning cross-functional teams around shared goals and driving clarity through structured communication. Trusted communicator to senior leadership and stakeholders, consistently translating complex issues into actionable strategies and updates.
- Innovation & Problem Solving: Ability to turn constraints into opportunities, driving innovation under pressure.

What You Will Do
- Software Project Leadership: Direct multi-year programs, including technology migration efforts and the integration of software and hardware systems. Lead initiatives that involve the development and deployment of embedded software solutions, ensuring seamless interaction between software applications and hardware components. Oversee the entire lifecycle of software projects, from initial concept through design, development, testing, and deployment, ensuring that software solutions are optimized for hardware performance and reliability. Collaborate closely with hardware engineering teams to align software functionalities with hardware capabilities, driving innovation in audio technology.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between customers, engineering, product, procurement, and executive teams. Unified cross-functional teams to accelerate delivery and streamline execution. Work with legal, HR, and operations to ensure alignment.
- Global Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and lead diverse teams across multiple countries, fostering trust, morale, and accountability.
- Quality and Performance Assurance: Implement and monitor quality gates to ensure design adherence and consistency across distributed development teams. Deliver software platforms with exceptional performance and minimal post-release issues.
- Innovation & Technology Strategy: Drive adoption of new infrastructure and application technologies for clients facing digital transformation needs under accelerated timelines.
What Makes You Eligible
- Over 10 years of experience managing software development projects, including overseeing the entire project lifecycle from concept through deployment. Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex projects and cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willing to travel overseas potentially 2 or 3 times a year
- Ideally, you live near Richardson, TX. Because this is a hybrid role, commuting to our Richardson office will be required as the job demands.
- Due to the nature of global infrastructure, you understand that flexibility in working hours is required
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need.
