About the Role
Maintain continuous and efficient operation of the applications and servers, guarantee the security of the information in the network with its corresponding support, train and allow to be trained in the capabilities documented in the IT capability matrix.
The employee has the authority granted by the company through this document to make decisions for the benefit of the company to ensure the conformity of the product, its quality, functionality, the health and safety of the person who intervenes in the process, in accordance with quality, safety, and environmental systems and customer-specific requirements.
What You Will Do
- Interact with and support HARMAN users, onsite and remote, to resolve any end user services related issues involving desktops, laptops, and/or services while providing excellent customer-oriented service
- Provide break/fix support by resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests associated with end-user devices
- Responsible for resolving all issues associated with the failure or degradation of services related to end-user devices.
- Provide eyes, hands, and feet for remote support personnel in conjunction with local servers, routers, switches, etc.
- Provide a high-level understanding of networking and the ability to support remote network teams to troubleshoot devices
- Provide high-level support for printers, VoIP equipment, and both Android and IOS mobile devices
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco products, including VPN clients, Webex, and Jabber
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops and laptops with various software, such as Windows and Linux.
- High-level understanding of OS deployment solutions like Netinstall, Microsoft Deployment Services, and SCCM
- Hands, eyes, and feet support centers of competency (CoC) for server room activities like rack mounting and troubleshooting of server hardware/networking gear, troubleshooting and support of physical devices such as tape changes, UPS, air condition validation, and network data connections
- Provide support to VIP users with excellent communication and adherence to the ITIL process.
- Continually communicate with all other Corporate IT personnel to ensure standardization and compliance between sites
- Work closely with Corporate IT personnel to identify and address facility-related technology requirements
- Manage warranty support from our vendors/manufacturers or out-of-warranty situations using available spares.
- Support the campus locations and home users on an 8x5 basis, and be available to provide 24x7 on-call support for manufacturing production support
- High-level understanding of RAID, Storage SAN, NAS, backup tape, DNS, and DHCP technologies
- High-level understanding of LAN, WAN, functionality of switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop client applications like MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, Java, Symantec Antivirus, Visio, PDF creator, etc.
- Resolve L2 incidents, end-user related support for site personnel, as escalated by the Central IT Help Desk
- Mentor to junior team members.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 7-10 years of experience supporting companies with more than 30 physical and virtual Windows servers
- 3 to 5 years of experience in supporting transnational companies.
- Experience in negotiating with suppliers for 3 to 5 years.
- Proven experience in the development and execution of the data center's technological renewal strategy.
- Professional career related to information technologies.
