About the Role

Responsible for contributing to AME Test Engineering functions in the company and activities to ensure the complete satisfaction of the internal and external clients, the maximum efficiency of the operation, and minimizing production costs under the highest safety standards.

The employee has testing design and development skills set to ensure the conformity of the product, its quality, functionality, and the health and safety of the person who intervenes in the process, according to quality, safety, and environmental systems and customer-specific requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Work with external manufacturing partners to define production testing requirements, validation plans for test systems, and define their ongoing monitoring and verification activities
  • Actively support the other engineering areas.
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Contribute of improving KPI and standards.
  • Collaborate with continuous improvement in the way the test systems are developed and managed, and ensure that the personnel using the test facilities receive adequate training and support.
  • Provide technical expertise & support to engineering and production teams.
  • Analyze project/internal requirements and specifications, and translate these into test development specifications.
  • Develop test applications based on test specifications and project requirements.
  • Analyze existing test packages to debug issues, add features, or make modifications in test applications.
  • Develop and monitor the development of test equipment design and test fixtures design to ensure accuracy and standardization in product testing.
  • Support the standardization of the test application platform and test equipment.
  • Collaborate with the ENG test team during NPI test definition and development when required.
  • Responsible for supporting CFT to reduce false defects on testers through continuous improvement.
  • Support and participate in activities driven by HPS, such as 5’S, KAIZEN, OTHERs.
  • Able to detect or perform methodical troubleshooting on the test equipment.
  • Propose Test equipment improvements.
  • Able to report daily activities to the leader.
  • Final Acceptance Test with suppliers on site to release the acceptance of the Test Systems.
  • Able to use all digital platforms used into Harman system, such as SAP, Windchill, and Agile.
  • Test equipment capacity study.
  • Create Work Instructions.
  • Track and meet Plant & Individual KPI´s
  • Collaborate on the definition of the AME Test area CAPEX
  • Evaluate and proceed to buy new or replace current test equipment.
  • Ensure that all Test internal procedures are followed by test engineers and technicians.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Education: MS in electrical engineering or computer engineering. Would consider a bachelor’s degree with proper experience.
  • Experience: 8 or more years of experience in electronics testing in high-mix products.
  • Knowledge of electronic design for testability requirements.
  • Knowledge in LabVIEW/Test Stand/Process Model test development platform or equivalent platform for test development.
  • Knowledge of different electrical manufacturing test strategies
  • Bachelor's in Electronics Engineering. Demonstrated Control/digital knowledge.
  • High knowledge of digital and Analog electronic design.
  • CAD file rendering. CAD file program editors. Use of Gerber, X-Y, and BOM files
  • PLC, DIO, DAQ programming and protocol.
  • Programming skills on CAN, LIN & GPIB bus protocols.
  • NI LabVIEW, certificate on CORE 1,2,3 at least (Preferred).
  • Experience in PCBA troubleshooting atthe component level.
  • Able to use measuring instrumentation such as Vernier, micrometer, oscilloscope, audio analyzer, multimeter, and LCR.
  • Able to read Drawings and Schematic files.
  • Functional FCT/EOL Programming, Development, and deployment.
  • Design for Testing DFT report analysis. Able to use DFT software (Testway, Valor, FAB, etc.).
  • Able to perform equipment validation (TMV Test Method Validation) through GR&R or Attribute Assessment, with the adequate Statistics tool ensuring an optimal equipment operation.
