About the Role
As Automotive Technical Lead in Intelligent Cockpit projects with highly experienced and hands-on Senior Technical engineer to lead and establish Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test setups for our automotive software and system validation team. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in embedded automotive systems, model-based design, and real-time simulation platforms like dSPACE, NI, or Vector. They will also be responsible for mentoring and upskilling a team of 20 engineers new to the domain.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design, setup, and validation of MIL, SIL, and HIL environments for ECU/software testing.
- Define test strategies, frameworks, and processes aligned with ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards.
- Build and maintain real-time simulation rigs using platforms such as dSPACE, NI LabVIEW/VeriStand, Vector VT/VTestStudio, etc.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams for end-to-end validation of ECUs (Powertrain, ADAS, Body, Chassis, Infotainment, etc.).
- Mentor and train a 20-member team to build in-house capability on HIL, MIL, and SIL techniques.
- Interact with OEMs/Tier-1s on technical requirements, reviews, and delivery checkpoints.
- Prepare detailed documentation, setup manuals, test reports, and knowledge base content.
- Stay updated with latest tools, technologies, and trends in virtual validation and simulation.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 15–20 years of experience in automotive ECU/software validation and simulation.
- Strong hands-on experience with MIL, SIL, HIL setups across at least two major domains (e.g., Infotainment and ADAS).
- Proficiency with dSPACE, NI, or Vector HIL platforms.
- Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, model integration, test automation (e.g., Automation Desk, ECU-TEST, or similar).
- Solid understanding of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, UDS diagnostics, and ECU communication protocols.
- Experience working with ISO 26262, ASPICE, or similar safety/quality frameworks.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in building teams or training programs is highly preferred.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Automotive, or related fields.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Office tools, and professional communication platforms
- Familiarity with Android/Linux environments and market-standard test tools and techniques is a plus
- Open to use AI enabled technologies to improve throughput
