About the Role
As a Customer Quality Engineer you will contribute to continual product improvements, from supplied electronic components and software improvements to manufacturing process improvements. This position is an introductory position reporting to Quality and Warranty Engineers. You will work with warranty claim data looking for trends in complaints and work to reduce claims. This position will also include working with warranty databases and reporting tools.
What You Will Do
Lead the development of automated reports for our QLIK dashboards.
Act as the point person on developing monthly reports for internal reviews.
Verify effectiveness of warranty corrective actions, confirming clean points have not been broken.
Actively provide support in the Customer Quality team on special quality improvement projects.
What You Need to Be Successful
A thorough understanding of Excell (pivot tables, Paynter charts etc.)
Demonstrable knowledge of being able to create QLIK dashboards, or the ability to teach themselves to work with QLIK.
The ability to research and learn about electronic components such as resistors, diodes, memory chips.
Learn new technologies that Harman provides its customers.
Bonus Points if You Have
Interest in world class automotive audio products.
What Makes You Eligible
Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan.
Be willing to work remotely.
Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week.

Sophomore: $23.00

Doct: $38.00
Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
