Your team:

You will join the Business Operations team within the largest Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Harman Automotive, a key driver of operational excellence and strategic support. Our team is responsible for resource management, process optimization and budget planning, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources. We deliver data analytics, dashboards, and portfolio analysis to enable informed decision-making and transparency across the organization. In addition, we lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance day-to-day business operations and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable growth and efficiency.

Your responsibilities:

  • Contribute to business operations and resource management.
  • Support the engineering resource planning process by assisting with analysis to identify data inconsistencies and capacity gaps.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve business processes and increase efficiency.
  • Assist with maintaining and further developing planning tools and databases.
  • Help ensure accuracy and consistency of master data in relevant systems.
  • Support the creation of reports, dashboards, and documentation for management reviews.
  • Assist in meetings with resource managers to review current project plans and discuss potential adjustments.
  • Maintain data as part of the budget planning process.
  • Support data analysis for new hire request reviews and resource allocation.

Your skills / qualifications:

  • Enrolled student in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a structured manner.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in business processes, resource planning, and operational efficiency.
  • Fluent in English; German skills are an advantage.
