About the Role

The Automation Testing and Support Engineer is responsible for solution testing, training and support as part of the Automotive Digital Automation team. This role works closely with solution analysts, solution architects, designers and technology solution partners to help ensure that created technical solutions align with identified solution requirements and meets organizational quality standards. This is a critical role that helps ensure the successful application of technology to support automotive business activities.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, maintain and Execute test cases, test plans and automated test scripts for automation solutions on the ServiceNow and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
  • Manage defect tracking and remediation activities.
  • Utilize ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and Microsoft Power Automate test tools to validate end-to-end automation workflows.
  • Perform functional, regression and performance testing for automations and integrations.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage and early issue identification.
  • Develop and delivery training plans for solutions being introduced.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for automation solutions, handling incidents, service requests and enhancements.
  • Support system upgrade and patching activities.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing quality assurance and application support roles
  • Practical experience with ServiceNow platform testing and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex automation issues.
  • Proficient in scripting or querying languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell or Python.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone and clarity, along with expertise in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in a corporate setting and comfort interacting with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Confidence working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, often with ambiguity and requiring the ability to pivot.
  • Empathy for colleagues in different circumstances, enabling you to tailor materials to their needs.
  • Experience working in a distributed multi-national team environment.
  • A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Developer certification.
  • Microsoft Certified Power Platform Fundamentals certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with automation regression testing frameworks or API testing tools.
  • Experience in global, multi-cultural companies.

  • Willingness to flex business hours as needed to support activities in the USA offices and occasionally other time zones.
