We’re a global, multi-disciplinary team that’s putting the innovative power of technology to work and transforming tomorrow. At HARMAN Automotive, we give you the keys to fast-track your career.

  • Engineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms that augment the driving experience

  • Combine ingenuity, in-depth research, and a spirit of collaboration with design and engineering excellence

  • Advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Steward to support our global automotive operations team in driving efficiency, productivity, and data-informed decision-making across our automotive manufacturing and supply chain processes. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of operational data across production, logistics, inventory, and supplier systems. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between data governance and day-to-day operations, enabling data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.

What You Will Do

  • Operational Data Quality: Design, monitor and maintain high data quality checks and standards for production schedules, inventory levels, supplier records, and logistics data.

  • Master Data Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data related to parts, materials, suppliers, and production assets.

  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and IT teams to identify data-related inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

  • Data Governance Implementation: Enforce data standards, naming conventions, and validation rules aligned with industry best practices and internal policies.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate data discrepancies and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues at the source.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data flows, business rules, and data ownership across operational systems (e.g., ERP, MES, WMS).

  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets from ERP, MES, and logistics systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Reporting: Report out data quality statistics and quality issues to data entry/domain owners and other relevant stakeholders.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, data science, business analytics, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in data stewardship, operations analytics, or supply chain data management within the automotive or manufacturing sector. Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable format.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 25% domestic and international.

What We Offer

  • Flexible work environment with a culture encouraging work-life integration and collaboration in a global environment.

  • Access to employee discounts on world-class HARMAN/Samsung products (JBL, Harman Kardon, AKG etc.).

  • Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University.

  • An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development

  • “Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program.

  • Work on best-in-class emerging technologies and an atmosphere that motivates you to give your best.
